your first year in network marketingI started my first network marketing business in 2010 and in August of that year I was introduced to a book called Your First Year In Network Marketing. After hearing the sad news of the Author Mark Yarnell, I thought I would dedicate this post to a man who not only impacted my career and ultimately my life through reading this book, but also the entire industry.

So in this post I will share with you how your first year in network marketing book, can help your network marketing career and the lesson that I learnt from this book.

The Man Behind The Book

3 Biggest Lessons From Your First Year In Network Marketing Your First Year In Network Marketing Book

Your first year in Network Marketing if it was anything like mine has or had some huge up’s and some even bigger down times. But In my first year I discovered a lot about myself and what it’s going to take to get to the top. Today, I want to share these experiences with you.

1. If you want to make real money you have to treat it like a business: Alot of people when they start in this profession expect to make money right away (myself included) but the truth it takes time to learn your craft. You have to be willing to spend time and money to develop the skills necessary to grow a profitable business. You are going to have to read the books, attend seminars, learn from mentors, and really, really practice your craft.

2. Having mentors will shorten your learning curve: The best advice anyone will give you is to find a mentor, or several. Mentors are people who have had success and already accomplished what you are trying to achieve. The great thing about having mentors; they have already made the mistakes, been through the failures etc…. So you can learn from them and shortern your learning curve.

3. Feed your mind with positivity and success: You reap what you sow. If you feed your body junk food, you will not feed it well at all. The same goes for your mind, the more crap and negativity you allow to enter your mind the worse you will feel. Negativity is everywhere so how do you stay positive in such a negative world? Stop watching the news and stay away from  drama, small talk and gossip. If it doesn’t serve your life in a positive way, remove it from your life!

My top tips; Listen to as much personal development audios as you can, read at least 10 pages from a good book a day and surround yourself with people who are on the same wave length as you.
